Institute scientists are world-recognized experts in the field pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics (PK-PD) and have pioneered the application of derived knowledge to drug development and commercialization. Our scientists’ expertise ranges from the laboratory, with in vitro PK-PD models, to the animal laboratory for PK-PD studies, through the Phase 1 Unit for healthy-volunteer and patient studies, into Phase 2 through 4 clinical trial design, to pharmacokinetic and PK-PD mathematical analyses to support regulatory and commercial efforts.

ICPD is unlike the contract research organizations and academicians that populate the field of PK-PD. Contract research organizations, especially those that specialize merely in data analysis, possess neither specific therapeutic expertise nor a broad understanding of PK-PD. Moreover, academicians, usually located at major universities and/or medical centers generally do not provide regulatory-quality deliverables nor meet the timeline required by pharmaceutical company Sponsors.

At the Institute, we understand the importance of having critical information available when it is needed most, at the point of decision-making. Moreover, we are therapeutically experienced with physician and pharmacist specialists and are vertically integrated with expertise from the laboratory to the patient’s bedside.
